If you’re interested in philosophy, in any way, I highly recommend “The Philosophy of The X-Files”. They talk about free will, among many other topics, and it’s pure excellence. I’ve always personally enjoyed philosophy, so this book was right up my alley. To be fair, I’m not finished with the book yet, but I’ve enjoyed every page, so far!

Sorry for the late reply! But, here it goes *SPOILERS WITHIN (if you haven’t seen past season 4)*:
In Memento Mori, she finds out, that Penny Northern, the only living survivor is currently sick and in the hospital. When she goes to visit her, Penny tells her that Dr. Scanlon has been treating her. With that info, she calls Mulder and tells him to bring the overnight bag and to contact her mother - she decides to stay at the hospital for observation and treatment. When Mulder breaks into the facility and finds the clones, they explain to him that during abduction, the radiation treatments cause superovulation. They use the collected ovum, from the superovulation to create more clones, leaving the women, barren.
What Mulder takes is a vial of Scully’s ovum. It cannot be used to cure her, but will sort-of come into play later in Season 8. As far as Scully being treated later on, I don’t want to give it away if you haven’t seen it. But, what I will say, is that the end of Season 4 and beginning of Season 5 are AWESOME. Scully faints at a hearing and is placed into the hospital. With her health declining, it is assumed that she’s taking the same fate as Penny Northern.
Like I said, I don’t want to give it away, but. seeing as there are 9 Seasons, one could safely assume that she survives ;-) But how she survives, I’ll leave as a surprise!
